Working on your testimony

I appreciate this stipulation. —“ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true”—meaning you will pray thoughtfully, specifically, and reverently with a firm commitment to follow the answer to your prayer—  with a firm commitment to follow the answer to your prayer. Sometimes when I get an answer, I don't like it. I don't necessarily want to go ahead with the new plan.

If you are wondering why life is so hard, here you go-  The fundamental purpose of life is to be tested and stretched, and thus we must learn to grow from our challenges and be grateful for the lessons learned that we cannot gain in an easier way.

I loved this suggestion. I find that I make this mistake myself -We should not have higher standards for others than we do for ourselves. Too often we may let the mistakes or failures of others, especially leaders or Church members, influence how we feel about ourselves or our testimonies. Other people’s difficulties are not an excuse for our own deficiencies.

Be it at church or at work or at the playground. Other people's difficulties are not an excuse for our own deficiencies. I know if I am having a bad day, it is easy to think "well at least I am doing better than ......" What a terrible way to measure myself. I need to measure myself against myself. Not let myself slide just cause I have less trouble with one particular area than someone else has.
